TAKEOFF: The Experience — Cleveland Activation Series
Davie FP brought TAKEOFF to life in Cleveland through an immersive, multi-layered listening experience designed to move beyond music—and into emotion, intention, and storytelling.
Private Album Screening — March 8, 2026
ZAV27 - Cleveland, Ohio
The first of three curated experiences, the Private Album Screening served as the official kickoff—an intimate, invite-only session crafted specifically for media, tastemakers, and cultural voices within the city.
In attendance were key platforms and outlets including:
The KINGTIF Network
The Swiss Account
Beaut Tea Told
The Midwest Takeoff
The Pullup Experience
Studio BLACKBOX
Make a Plai
This experience introduced guests to TAKEOFF through a cinematic “flight” journey, guiding listeners step-by-step through:
Check-In
Boarding
Takeoff
Cruising Altitude
Landing
Each phase symbolized a different emotional layer of the album, allowing attendees to engage with the music as both listeners and observers.
The evening was elevated by catering from Next Level Caterers, with hydration provided by Drip Alkaline Water, and hosted by Ray Smith of Zav27 alongside The Freedom Papers Team.
The energy in the room reflected its purpose—focused, intentional, and analytical. As media professionals, guests experienced the album through a journalistic lens, actively processing, critiquing, and documenting the moment in real time.
Takeoff Experience II — March 29, 2026
A More Personal Elevation
The second experience expanded both in scale and spirit welcoming a broader audience of friends, entrepreneurs, and influential figures shaping Cleveland’s culture.
With over 70 attendees from a 75-person guest list, the room was filled with energy, connection, and presence proving that proximity and intention can outweigh volume. Every guest in the room was a phone call away.
A special highlight of the evening included a surprise appearance by Darrell Doobee Warden and his wife, who traveled from Pittsburgh, PA. Known for his legacy as a former manager of Carl Thomas and a Bad Boy Records affiliate, Mr. Warden’s presence symbolized something deeper, he is a key catalyst in building the Cleveland-to-New York bridge that fuels the vision behind Davie FP’s second album.
This second experience carried a more emotional weight. A tribute to Davie’s late mother, who passed away from cancer the previous year was introduced through a photo that shifted the entire atmosphere. Her presence was felt deeply, adding a layer of vulnerability and purpose that resonated throughout the room.
While the structure of the experience remained rooted in the “flight” concept, the energy was noticeably different:
More expressive
More vocal
More alive
Unlike the first session, which was rooted in observation, this audience felt the music reacting in real time, engaging with the moments, and embodying the spirit of the project.
Catering and sponsorship remained consistent with Next Level Caterers and Drip Alkaline Water, maintaining continuity across both experiences.
The Takeaway
Together, these two experiences showcased the duality of TAKEOFF:
Precision vs. Emotion
Observation vs. Experience
Media vs. Community
Davie FP didn’t just play an album—he constructed a journey.
From curated rooms of 25 to energized crowds of 70, the message remained clear:
Intentional > Transactional
TAKEOFF isn’t just something you hear. It’s something you go through. Check out the recap here
