Davie Takes Over “Pop Up In The Park” In Cleveland Labor Day Weekend

Cleveland, Ohio — September 6, 2026

Labor Day Weekend and Airshow Weekend in Cleveland became an unforgettable night for Davie, who took the stage at the 5th Annual Pop Up In The Park Outdoor Concert, powered by Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns, Nicole Ward, Jaques Evans of Floh Vodka, and the Make Them Know Your Name Foundation.

With a lineup that featured nationally recognized stars including Ashanti and Fabolous, Davie had the tall task of representing Cleveland on a major hometown stage—and he approached the moment with the same philosophy that has become his personal motto:

“Never let the moment be bigger than you.”

Davie didn’t just rise to the occasion. He went BIG.

Bringing an unmistakable Cleveland energy to the stage, Davie was joined by two of the city’s dopest dancers, Cyera Wilder and Kiara Bishop, who delivered a high-energy performance that matched the intensity of the show.

The live experience was elevated even further with powerhouse background vocalists Kim Harris, Rorri Blackwell, and Val B. King, granddaughter of the late, legendary B.B. King.

Adding another layer to the performance, Davie incorporated a live two-man horn section featuring Derrick Braum on trumpet and Max on saxophone, creating a dynamic, full-band feel that transformed the performance into a true live experience.

The performance also extended beyond the physical stage.

Davie streamed his performance live on Kick, courtesy of his WAVĒ partner Woejay Simpson, allowing fans beyond Cleveland to experience the moment in real time.

But perhaps one of the most intentional details of the night came from the entire Freedom Papers Team.

From the artists and musicians onstage to the production and camera crew behind the scenes, the entire team showed up uniformed in Cleveland Browns jerseys, making it clear that this wasn't simply a performance in Cleveland—it was a representation of Cleveland.

Every detail reflected the city.

Every person represented the city.

And every moment belonged to the city.

For Davie, Pop Up In The Park became more than another performance. It was a statement about where he comes from, who he represents, and how he intends to show up when the spotlight is at its brightest.

Big stage. Big moment. Big Cleveland energy.

And Davie was ready.

This was undoubtedly a night to remember in The Year of The Takeoff.
